Why do some people think the warning that we’re being driven towards a cashless, blockchain, all-electronic, mobile-phone-required, monitored and controlled and taxed and service-charged, end-of-freedom economy… is hyperbole?

Going cashless, after all, reduces the need to touch anything grimy or slathered in viruses.
